Pantoja Fine Jewelry — Legal Notice: Discreet Packaging Standard

1. Notice

Pantoja Fine Jewelry ("Pantoja," "we," "us," or "our") hereby gives notice of the following mandatory packaging standard, applicable to all outbound shipments, in-store bagging, and any third-party fulfillment, warehousing, or courier service acting on Pantoja's behalf.

2. Discreet Packaging Requirement

No exterior packaging, container, box, envelope, label, invoice sleeve, or shipping material used by or on behalf of Pantoja shall contain any indication, in any form, wording, imagery, symbol, color scheme, or branding, that the contents are jewelry, precious metals, gemstones, or other high-value items.

This prohibition includes, without limitation:

The Pantoja name, logo, or any recognizable brand mark on the outermost shipping container;
Words such as "jewelry," "diamond," "gold," "fine," "precious," or similar terms anywhere on the exterior;
Images, icons, or graphics depicting rings, gemstones, jewelry boxes, or related imagery;
Ribbon, gift wrap styling, or packaging design conventionally associated with jewelry or luxury gift items;
Any return address that independently identifies Pantoja as a jewelry retailer (e.g., use of a generic entity name or P.O. box designation on the exterior where feasible).

All Pantoja branding, product information, certificates, and invoices are to be placed inside the shipping container only, concealed from external view.

3. Purpose of This Notice

This standard is implemented for the following business and security purposes, and this notice serves to document the policy for internal compliance, vendor/carrier instruction, and insurance and risk-management purposes:

To reduce the risk of theft, package interception, or targeted burglary based on visible identification of high-value contents;
To protect customers' personal safety and privacy by preventing third parties from inferring the value or nature of a delivery;
To comply with underwriting and loss-prevention requirements associated with Pantoja's shipping insurance coverage;
To protect the Pantoja brand and its customers from reputational and financial harm arising from theft or loss traceable to identifiable packaging.

4. Application and Compliance

This notice applies to all Pantoja employees, contractors, fulfillment partners, packaging vendors, and third-party logistics providers involved in preparing or shipping any Pantoja order.
Any packaging vendor or carrier contract entered into by Pantoja shall incorporate this discreet packaging standard as a binding requirement, and non-compliance by a vendor or carrier constitutes a material breach of that vendor or carrier relationship.
Internal staff who fail to comply with this standard are subject to Pantoja's internal disciplinary policies.
This notice does not override any packaging or labeling requirements imposed by law, including customs declarations required for international shipments, hazardous materials labeling (not applicable to standard jewelry shipments), or carrier-required routing labels, provided such required labels do not themselves disclose the nature of the contents.

5. Customer Notice

By placing an order with Pantoja, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

Their order will arrive in discreet, unmarked, or minimally marked packaging that does not visibly identify the contents as jewelry;
Pantoja is not liable for any delay, misplacement, disposal, or failure of a recipient (including household members, front-desk staff, or building personnel) to recognize or properly handle a delivery due to its discreet appearance;
Tracking information and delivery confirmation remain the customer's primary means of monitoring a shipment's status, and customers are encouraged to monitor tracking closely given the intentionally unmarked nature of the packaging.

6. No Waiver of Other Policies

This notice supplements, and does not replace, Pantoja's Return & Refund Policy and Standard Shipping Procedure & Rate Schedule, including their provisions on insurance, signature confirmation, and risk of loss. In the event of any conflict specifically regarding packaging appearance, this notice governs.

7. Governing Law

This notice is issued under, and shall be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
